My Personal Background and Early Influences
If you’re curious about me, my story is rooted in small-town Michigan life, where family values and a close-knit community shaped my earliest sense of belonging. The foundation of who I am today didn’t come from a single event or organization—it grew from the people who invested in me early on and encouraged me to believe I was capable of more than I imagined.
One of the most impactful influences in my life was my very first Pharmacy Director. His mentorship changed the trajectory of my career and, more importantly, my confidence. He guided me with patience, challenged me to think critically, and showed me what leadership truly looks like through his actions. He didn’t just teach processes or policies—he helped shape the person I was becoming. He was a true role model, and the lessons I learned under his guidance still influence the way I lead and support others today.
These early experiences taught me the importance of showing up, listening, and extending support whenever I can—values that remain at the center of who I am.
A Single Mom’s Strength
I am a single mom to an incredible daughter who is now almost 18. I’ve raised her on my own since she was 15 months old. My early adulthood was a balancing act of taking 12 college credits while working full-time to support us. Every late-night study session, every carefully managed paycheck, and every difficult decision became part of the foundation that shaped my resilience.
Those years taught me adaptability, grit, and determination. They also showed me that leadership often begins quietly—through responsibility, sacrifice, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when the path feels uncertain.
Building a Career in Pharmacy
My professional path began as a pharmacy technician and steadily grew through dedication and opportunity. I eventually became the manager of the 340B program at McLaren Greater Lansing, a role that ignited my passion for service and impact within healthcare. From there, I branched out to support hospitals across the United States in managing and optimizing their 340B programs.
Today, in my current role with Trinity Health supporting St. Mary’s Health Care System in Georgia, I remain committed to advocating for access, compliance, and sustainability in healthcare. Each role along the way has strengthened not only my technical knowledge but also my leadership style—one rooted in collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning.
What Self-Discovery Has Taught Me
Self-discovery isn’t a destination; it’s an ongoing process. Over time, I’ve learned that growth often comes from stepping outside of comfort zones and embracing both strengths and imperfections. A few truths have consistently guided me:
- Listening is just as vital as speaking
- Authenticity gives others permission to be themselves
- Confidence is built one honest moment at a time
- Looking inward is essential for moving forward
Most importantly, I’ve learned that I am stronger than I ever thought I was.
Loving the Person I’ve Become
Through tough lessons and meaningful victories, my life has become a reflection of intentional choices and personal growth. I’ve navigated professional setbacks, personal challenges, and moments of uncertainty—but each one shaped me into a more grounded and self-aware version of myself.
Today, I genuinely love who I am becoming. The journey hasn’t been perfect, but it has been real, and that authenticity is something I carry into every space I enter.
Leadership Is About Lifting Others
Leadership, to me, has never been about titles—it’s about bringing people to the table and giving them the confidence to use their voices. My earliest leadership lessons came from that first Pharmacy Director who believed in me before I fully believed in myself. He led by example, invited me to sit on committees, and trusted me with the freedom to build and shape the 340B program with both confidence and guidance.
The learning curves were steep, but each one refined my skills and strengthened my ability to lead with empathy and intention. His mentorship laid the groundwork for the leader I strive to be today—approachable, supportive, and always learning.
Expanding My Reach
Over time, I’ve had the privilege of helping lead and support teams across the United States. Collaborating with diverse professionals and healthcare systems has broadened my perspective and reinforced the value of adaptability and clear communication. Each project and partnership contributes to my continued growth and reminds me that leadership is a shared effort, not a solo pursuit.
Continuing to Grow
In my latest role, I’ve stepped into an incredible team environment that continues to challenge and inspire me. Watching strong leaders around me operate with compassion, accountability, and integrity has been a blessing. I am still shaping myself through new experiences and new lessons, and I wouldn’t change that journey for anything.
Growth doesn’t end—it evolves. And I welcome every opportunity to become a better leader, colleague, and person than I was the day before.
Building Meaningful Partnerships Through Travel
Adding my own personal business as a travel agent is a natural extension of who I am and how I work with people. Travel is deeply personal—it represents milestones, memories, healing, celebration, and connection. By stepping into this space, I’m able to combine my organizational skills, attention to detail, and passion for service with something that brings genuine joy to others.
My approach isn’t just about booking trips; it’s about building partnerships with my clients. I want to understand their goals, preferences, budgets, and dreams so that every itinerary feels intentional and customized. The same leadership values that guided my healthcare career—listening first, communicating clearly, and advocating for the best outcome—translate seamlessly into the travel industry.
Owning my own business also allows me to be more accessible and more invested. My clients aren’t transactions; they’re relationships. As I grow this venture, I’m shaping a model built on trust, transparency, and collaboration. In doing so, I’m not only expanding my professional journey but also creating a space where people feel supported, excited, and confident as they plan experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime.
At the heart of everything I do is intention—whether I’m leading a team, supporting a client, or planning a journey that becomes a lifelong memory. I believe success is built on authenticity, thoughtful details, and genuine connection. My path has shaped me into someone who values growth, grace, and meaningful experiences, and I carry that same energy into every partnership I create. With a calm, modern approach and a touch of inspired elegance, I strive to make each interaction feel personal, purposeful, and effortlessly elevated—because life, like travel, is meant to be experienced with mindfulness, confidence, and a little bit of magic. ✨
